Initially, our focus was exclusively on fund development, especially organization assessments, grant writing support, and individual giving program implementation. Over the years, we saw how smaller nonprofits frequently struggle. Many are simply trying to survive with limited resources while others are ultimately forced to close their doors. These worthy causes wanted to implement best practices, but they weren’t in a position to partner with larger consulting firms or hire highly-experienced staff. This is where we saw an opportunity to help. We incorporated as AltruNext in 2016, diversifying our team to reflect the broad needs of our clients. After all, fund development success is intertwined with strong operations, good governance, clear communications, and dynamic programs.
