The North Central Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is a small nonprofit focused on Alzheimer's care, support and research in the Fort Worth area. It is part of the national Alzheimer's Association, the leading voluntary health organization in this field, with a mission to accelerate research, promote risk reduction and early detection, and maximize quality care and support. Locally, it offers a 24/7 helpline staffed by master's-level clinicians in over 200 languages, and conducts in-person support groups and education programs to reach underserved populations. The chapter also provides online resources and communities, including ALZConnected and the LiveWell suite, to support people living with the disease and their caregivers. As part of the broader network, it advocates at state and federal levels to advance research and care initiatives.
