The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) is a small trade association based in Schaumburg, Illinois, that has operated since 1936. It represents manufacturers and professionals in the fenestration industry, focusing on quality windows, doors, curtain walls, storefronts, and skylights. The organization serves both residential and commercial sectors and encompasses all framing materials. Its activities aim to address the technical and marketing needs of fenestration product manufacturers, suppliers, and test labs, and to advance performance standards for fenestration products and components while addressing regulatory issues affecting its membership.

One notable recent development is the February 2024 publication of QAG-2-12, a voluntary quality assurance processing guide for polyamide thermal barriers used in fenestration systems. The organization has a history of releasing standards and industry studies to inform practice in the fenestration sector.
