Founded in 1976 as American Business Locations, Inc., ("ABL"), the firm began consulting with CEOs in talent management, organizational development & strategic planning in 1983,  and was renamed American Business Leadership, Inc., in 2009.

ABL also provides the certified "Stages of Business Growth" model of strategic planning, that begins with the "Company X-Ray" measurement process that addresses 27 major obstacles to organizational success, identifies the company's stage of growth and the issues that are prevalent and lie ahead, and develops a strong strategic plan.
