ACE is a grassroots advocacy organization focused on advancing ethanol as a consumer fuel in the United States. It unites ethanol producers, farmers, investors, cellulosic biofuel stakeholders, and related businesses to support public policy and infrastructure development for biofuels. Founded in 1987 and based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, ACE pursues policy engagement, market development, and outreach to inform policymakers, media, and the public about the benefits of biofuels. Its work is carried out through member-driven activities, including policy events in Washington, DC and around the country, and campaigns to expand higher ethanol blends and blender pumps. ACE publishes Ethanol Today and ETFieldNotes, hosts an annual conference and policy events, and provides information through its website and social media. In March 2026, ACE hosted its 15th Washington, DC Fly-in and Government Affairs Summit to connect industry participants with federal policymakers.
