American Equity is a fully disclosed Broker/Dealer with an affiliated Registered Investment Advisor. The corporation was established January 10, 1996. Our way-of-doing-business is to establish long-term relationships between Representatives/Agents, Product Suppliers and our Service Team.

We realize that not all securities representatives are full time in the investment business. We specialize in offering a broker dealer home to representatives who also own their own insurance agency, accounting firm and other related types of business. Our belief is that there should be a broker dealer available to representatives that do an excellent job for their clients, but don’t want the pressure of producing $50,000, $100,000 or more in dealer commissions. We are also a nice fit for someone who is a higher producer, but high production quotas are not required like at most firms.

Compliance that works for you — While we will never jeopardize the safety of our firm or that of our representatives, we do bend over backward to help you accomplish what you are in business to do, serve your clients and build your future.

Freedom of Choice — We don't pressure our representatives into sales of proprietary products or set sales quotas. At American Equity Investment Corp. we expect our representatives to make their own decisions, but we're always here when you need a sounding board.
