American Financial Solutions (AFS) is a division of North Seattle Community College Foundation. Our mission is to empower individuals to improve the quality of their lives through financial education and counseling. Our core values are excellence, independence, transparency and trust, high-customer satisfaction, accessibility to all, and being a valuable resource for financial education and services in our local community and throughout the country. The AFS vision is for our clients to learn the skills and behaviors necessary to be confident in managing their own finances and making financial decisions. These skills help reduce and avoid debt, build savings and improve financial capability. The goal is to guide people along the financial continuum from learning about finances to banking, borrowing, saving, asset development, including home ownership, and retirement.
