The American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE) is a small museum in Oak Ridge, Tennessee that documents the area's historical ties to the Manhattan Project and the development of nuclear science during World War II. It opened in conjunction with the gates to Oak Ridge and is part of the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos sector. The museum aims to present Oak Ridge's role in energy-related science to visitors and students. In recent years, AMSE has expanded its educational and community engagement through events such as Nuclear Science Week in October 2025. It launched a Citizen Science Birding Program in 2025 in collaboration with the University of Tennessee Arboretum Society and participated in local science initiatives, including the 4th Annual Energy & Elements Gala in March 2026.
