AST's cellulosic sugars and lignin are key intermediate products in supply chains for producing bio-chemicals, plastics, bio-fuels, and nutritional supplements for food. The aim of AST is to produce high quality sugars and lignin at competitive prices to not only displace petroleum-derived products, but also help to reduce carbon emissions.
