The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is a public, nonprofit, independent, coeducational institution of higher education located in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. It delivers an integrated American-style undergraduate and graduate education with a strong emphasis on the local indigenous culture. The university is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to award higher education qualifications and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to confer bachelor’s and master’s degrees (Level III). All degrees offered are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; engineering programs are accredited by ABET, and the School of Business has received initial acceptance from AACSB for its self-evaluation.
