The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine is a higher education institution focused on medical education, founded in 1978. It has educated more than 8,500 graduates and is among the Caribbean’s oldest medical schools. The campus is in Sint Maarten, Caribbean, with a UK track program in Preston and affiliated teaching hospitals in the United States and United Kingdom. It serves prospective medical students pursuing an MD, offering access to international clinical training through affiliated hospitals in the United States and United Kingdom. The program is grounded in a patient-centered approach and draws on internationally recognized faculty to support a globally minded physician education. In 2025, AUC Med announced a partnership with the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions to enable students to pursue a separate MSDA degree.
