American Workbench was established in 2005 out of the frustration in the inability to find an American made Custom workbench. There were many workbenches designed and Built in third world countries, but nothing produced here in the United States showing any signs of Olde World Quality ~ Thus our tag line..."These are the good old Days!" In addtion, no one offered the opportunity to buy a Custom Height, or Custom shelving option for their clients. If they did the pricing was extremley high. The Company began in a residential garage just outside of Charleston South Carolina and with each year grew from the Garage to 700 Sq Ft and ultimately 6,000 Sq Ft in 2011. We now have 7 employees who would not otherwise have a job in this undulating economy. American Workbench offers 9 different sized and styled Custom workebnches made to order. We are to date the only Custom Reloading Bench builder. Clients have their names engraved on their benches at no charge. We also carve logos, as well as custom engraving options Our Butcher Block tops are produced by Bally Block who has produced Maple Block for the past 120 years here in American. Our Frame and shelf wood products are made from mills in Somerville, SC and Decatur, AL
