Amicus Investors is a private investment company focused on providing equity capital to colleges and universities for next generation real estate and infrastructure assets throughout the nation. We offer higher education institutions equity capital rather than debt. Our goal is to create long-term partnerships with colleges and universities in order to accelerate institutions' plans from the planning phases to the building phases. At a time when states continue divestment in higher education and students are increasingly pressured by rising tuition costs, Amicus provides an alternative source of capital to colleges and universities.

Amicus collaborates and aligns with an institution's mission and strategic vision, providing capital to make an institutions strategic and master plans a reality. We provide 'Capital First' before selecting a builder, developer, or operator. Together, Amicus and a University can achieve best execution and best value.  

An Experienced Team

We have an experienced and diverse management team with backgrounds in corporate finance, structured finance, capital markets, public finance, and student housing. Additionally, we have two large institutional capital partners and investors, Compatriot Capital Inc. and Macquarie Capital. Compatriot Capital directs the real estate investment strategy for Sammons Enterprises, Inc., the privately-held global holding company. Macquarie Capital is an affiliate and wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Group Limited, one of the largest real estate and infrastructure investors in the world.
