ANCOR is a national nonprofit trade association that advocates for service providers supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). For more than 50 years, it has worked from its base in Alexandria, Virginia, to coordinate efforts across the sector. It represents nearly 2,000 member organizations employing more than a half-million professionals who collectively serve over a million individuals with I/DD. Its mission is to strengthen members' ability to help people with I/DD participate fully in their communities. Through its role as a national trade association, ANCOR functions as an advocacy and resource network for providers in this space.
