Owner and Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College, Dr. Sharon Startup, sees cases in Knoxville, TN and Charleston, SC and supports dentistry education for general veterinary practices around the world. Dr. Startup DVM DAVDC takes cases that vary from complicated surgical procedures to routine dental cleanings and X-ray. She specializes in oral surgery, root canal therapy for fractured teeth, periodontal therapy, jaw fracture repair, oral cancer management, restorative therapy for tooth defects, and malocclusion correction. She is one of only 140 Veterinarians world-wide that have gone through the rigorous training and testing to become a Veterinary Dentist by becoming a Diplomat of the American Veterinary Dental College.
