The Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park is a nonprofit institution based in Annapolis, Maryland, that educates both youth and adults about the area's maritime heritage and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay through programs, exhibits, and community events. Located at the mouth of Back Creek overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, its Education Center provides a hub for hands-on learning. The Education Center serves more than 12,000 students and adults each year and offers four free core programs along with field trips, family programs, afterschool activities, and summer camps. The museum is governed by a volunteer board and supported by a large cadre of volunteers, with professional staff overseeing operations and long-range planning. In December 2025, the organization appointed Susan Thaxton as President and Chief Executive Officer following a national search.
