Anne's recent body of work, Crystal Auras, features an alluring amalgam of terrestrial and otherworldly qualities. Her mixed media paintings are created with countless layers of potent earth-tones that permeate her sculpted surfaces. A primordial energy exudes from within the core of each painting, and the work feels as if it were spawned from a prehistoric cave wall, a segment or stratum of a familiar or distant terrain, or the glistening interior of a geode. Similar to her experience working with gemstones, Anne is adept at the manipulation of light to best enhance the natural energy inherent in her chosen pigment, additionally invigorated by her surfaces' intricate geography
