APLA Health is a nonprofit organization and federally qualified health center based in Los Angeles, California, focused on achieving health care equity and well-being for LGBT people and other underserved communities, including individuals living with or affected by HIV. It serves more than 14,000 people annually across 15 locations throughout Los Angeles County, delivering a broad range of services such as medical, dental, behavioral health care, PrEP counseling and management, HIV prevention education, and STD screening and treatment. For people living with HIV, the organization provides housing support, benefits counseling, home health care, and food assistance through the Vance North Necessities of Life Program among other essential services. As a nonprofit in the health services sector, APLA Health also engages in policy advocacy, supports capacity-building for health departments nationwide, and conducts community-based research on issues affecting LGBT and HIV-affected communities. The organization works to strengthen care and policy environments, and in 2025 it partnered with Long Beach Forward to conduct a citywide LGBTQIA2S+ Community Health Needs Assessment, reflecting its collaborative approach to community health.
