Appxplore (iCandy) Sdn Bhd. is a mobile game development studio based in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Established in 2011, it has published a number of titles to public and critical acclaim. In 2014, Appxplore was acquired by venture accelerator Fatfish Internet Group, and has since been spun-off into subsidiary company iCandy Interactive Ltd. ORIGINS Appxplore started life as a modest five-man outfit riding the wave of a flourishing tech start-up economy. Hailing from diverse backgrounds in content creation, the motley crew of artists and programmers wrote history when their debut effort became the first game in the country to be listed on the App Store. The success of "Lightopus" paved the way for increasingly polished and sophisticated releases, all achieving downloads in the region of seven digits.
