The Arab Gulf States Institute (AGSI) is an independent, nonprofit think tank based in Washington, DC. It focuses on the relationship between the United States and the Gulf region, fostering open, multi-perspective discussion on issues that matter to the Gulf. Its work comprises expert analysis across economic, energy, environmental, security, social, cultural, and political dimensions of the Gulf Arab states and their ties with the United States and other nations. AGSI seeks to inform a global audience of policymakers, legislators, business leaders, academics, media, youth, and others to support strategic decision-making about the region. It also emphasizes developing scholars who concentrate on Gulf studies and uses diverse channels to broaden public understanding of U.S.-Gulf relations. In July 2023, AGSI announced the appointment of Tim Callen as a visiting fellow.
