We got our start in 1935 as the Kalamazoo School Employees Credit Union. Our goal: to meet the financial needs of local educators. Since then, our mission has evolved and we now provide services to all types of families and businesses across the state of Michigan. In 2016, we became Arbor Financial Credit Union. The new name was designed to change the perception that you had to be a teacher to join. With the reference to trees, we also wanted to reinforce our strong community roots, commitment to growth, and our environmentally friendly mindset.

Arbor Financial has ten branches within the south west MI area. 
More than 40,000 people are Arbor Financial members.
The credit union has over $600 million in assets.
