He breathed new life into the training and consulting portion of the industry and allowed more companies nationwide to train more technicians properly. Daniel's daughter, Alex Benton, took over in 2011, and ACSI has grown from a small business to a major player on the world stage, with work in Jamaica and Singapore. Daniel seized another opportunity in 2013 when he experienced firsthand the frustration that general contractors were having with roofing contractors. In response, ARC Roofing was founded in 2013. ARC Roofing has served many customers in and around Waco, including Baylor University and Lacy-Lakeview Providence hospital. Recognizing the need for environmental remediation services in the oil industry, Daniel founded ARC Oil and Gas Services in 2013, which offered oilfield site restoration to onshore oil and gas production and drilling facilities. In 2014, Daniel formed ARC Abatement Holding, Inc., which is the umbrella company for his other businesses. Along the way, Daniel's strategy has included mergers and acquisitions. In 2016, he acquired C&C Coating and Construction, a floundering Midland-based company in need of his management skills. After overhauling the training and safety programs, which earned C&C Coating and Construction a safety award, Daniel merged C&C with ARC Oil and Gas. In addition to the environmental remediation ARC Oil and Gas had always offered, C&C Coating and Construction provides NORM remediation (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials). In the course of providing environmental remediation for the oil industry, Daniel noticed the need for creative scaffolding solutions. In 2016, he added a power plan/industrial division to ARC Abatement, which now offers scaffolding and hazmat abatement services. In 2017 Daniel brokered the partial purchase of Lone Wolf Resources. This has brought about a greater focus on the good stewardship of the land. This allows for a complete package of services to oil companies that includes treating and recycling impacted soils, sediments and groundwater, with the goal of restoring land to its original use.
