The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is the Roman Catholic Church serving 19 counties in western and southwestern Ohio, based in Cincinnati. It is led by Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr and forms the metropolitan see for the Province of Cincinnati, which also includes the Dioceses of Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Steubenville, and Toledo. The archdiocese operates a network of parishes, schools, hospitals, agencies and other institutions to carry out its mission. Founded as a diocese in 1821, the organization serves a Catholic community of nearly half a million in the region. A recent development includes the appointment of Matthew Daniels as Superintendent of Catholic School in August 2024.
