Based in Seattle, ArchEcology is a small, woman-owned design-services firm that blends architectural design and construction observation with green-building consulting. The company helps project teams interpret sustainability strategies, evaluate tradeoffs, and pursue green building certifications to create healthier, more efficient, and more resilient spaces. To date, the team has supported LEED certification for more than 125 projects and other programs totaling over five million square feet. ArchEcology works with project owners and teams across both new construction and renovations, guiding sustainable goals and facilitating decision-making within local codes and regional resources. In new construction, the firm integrates sustainability into conventional design and renovation goals, identifying feasible strategies and supporting cost-effective compliance. In existing buildings, it assesses building envelopes and energy and water use, benchmarks practices, and develops operational measures to improve indoor air quality and reduce environmental impact, while offering services such as interpretation of green-building rating requirements, coordination, specification review, online administration, energy code compliance, energy modeling, and heat transfer analysis; the US Green Building Council has designated ArchEcology as a Proven Provider for LEED-certified new-construction projects.
