Founded in 1997 by filmmaker Steven Kochones, Arclight Productions is an award-winning film production company specializing in documentaries, commercials and behind-the-scenes content, working in the entertainment industry and the arts. Since 2009, the company has produced 16 original documentaries commissioned by the Annenberg Foundation and directed by Steven Kochones, including THE WAR PHOTOGRAPHERS, EMERGING and WATER: OUR THIRSTY WORLD, produced in association with National Geographic. The multi-award winning WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival before playing at over 25 festivals around the world, and the feature documentary COUNTRY: PORTRAITS OF AN AMERICAN SOUND debuted at the 2015 Nashville Film Festival. Several of the company’s documentaries have also been broadcast nationally on KCET-Link. Arclight was an early adopter of 4K digital cinema, and all of its original films since 2009 have been produced and posted in 4K. With a professional staff at full-service facilities in the heart of Hollywood, Arclight also offers high quality production services, editorial services, and post-production finishing at high resolutions (4K), high frame rates (60fps) and 3D.
