Arizona Serve is a small- to mid-sized nonprofit in the civic and social sector that connects volunteers with community projects aimed at reducing poverty and expanding opportunity. Headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, it coordinates more than 200 AmeriCorps State and VISTA placements across Pima and Yavapai Counties. Projects include building partnerships to support a community school in a Tucson-area middle school, promoting STEM career opportunities for youth in Yavapai County with GEM Environmental, and guiding opportunity youth toward education or career pathways with earnings above the regional median. AmeriCorps members receive a Segal Education Award redeemable for tuition or student loans, and members aged 55 and older may gift the award to a child or grandchild; some positions also provide a living allowance and Certificates in Civic Leadership. The organization positions itself as a Prescott College AmeriCorps program and publishes current opportunities and application instructions on its website. In 2020, Arizona Serve partnered with People Who Care Inc. in response to COVID-19 changes.
