Art League Houston is a small nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, focused on contemporary visual art through exhibitions, education, and community programming. Its four onsite galleries showcase local, national, and international artists, with selections addressing social and cultural issues and supported by an awards program that highlights and preserves overlooked Contemporary Texas art history. The Art League School, established in 1968, provides lifelong learning in painting, ceramics, jewelry, and related media, serving about 1,200 students annually with small classes taught by professional artists. In 2022, ALH launched Flexible Access to offer pay-what-you-can rates, expanding access to arts education, while its Community Engagement programs run artist-led initiatives such as ArtBound! for K–12 schools, the Summer Intensive for Teens, Healing Art for adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities, and Creative Healing for hospital staff.
