ASC is a non-profit Local Arts Agency dedicated to holistically nurturing and sustaining Charlotte-Mecklenburg's cultural ecosystem. We serve as the designated “Office of Cultural Resources” for the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and six suburban towns. By investing in arts and culture, we drive economic growth, foster community retention, support local creatives, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. ASC’s three-pronged approach is dismantling barriers and creating diverse, self-sustaining communities that invest in the upward mobility of its people and organizations. We operate as a FUNDER and fundraiser, providing a variety of grants, public art, supporting community-led initiatives through our Culture Blocks program, and financial resources to our community. We are also a RESOURCE and, an ADVOCATE, providing cultural education programs, workshops, trainings, cultural planning, and local advocacy for the arts and sciences. -------------------------------- 1.
