Arts Alliance Illinois fights for arts resources and policies that benefit our members and all Illinois residents. As the only statewide, multidisciplinary organization concentrated on the strength of arts and culture, the Alliance takes on challenges that no single organization or artist can face alone. Arts Alliance Illinois envisions a world where the arts are central and indispensable to Illinois, where people acknowledge that the arts enhance their quality of life, fuel creativity and innovation, sharpen the state’s competitive edge, attract and retain talent, promote cross-cultural understanding, aid in solving civic and social issues, and keep Illinois nationally and globally connected. Our focus areas include: • Statewide civic engagement, through which we position arts and culture as a source of creative solutions to a broad range of challenges. • Arts education, through which we promote arts-centered learning and the development of a creative and adaptive workforce. • Cultural equity, through which we foster equitable access to and participation in arts and culture, and advance historically neglected or marginalized forms of expression.
