The Asbury Park Public Library is a small municipal library in Asbury Park, New Jersey, serving the local community with a range of information and literacy services. Founded in 1878 as the Ocean Grove Asbury Park Library Association and incorporated as a free municipal library in 1901, it provides access to traditional and technology-based resources to support informational, recreational, and lifelong learning objectives. Located at 500 First Avenue, the building sits at the corner of First and Grand Avenues, with the Main/Adult entrance on First Avenue and the Junior Library entrance on Grand Avenue. The library’s mission centers on enabling community members to participate fully in the information era and to share equitably in its benefits. It serves residents through a blend of physical collections and technology-enabled services, and recently launched an online Resource Guide in collaboration with Asbury Park Communities That Care.
