Mr. Arneson began ASC as a consulting service for electronic manufacturers requiring assistance in integrating and using sophisticated measurement tools and manufacturing equipment. He saw that the manufacturers' ability to learn and use these tools was severely underestimated at the point of purchase. This presented a business opportunity: to provide customers who were focused on their own businesses, the service and support needed to realize the value of their investment in inspection and process control systems.
