Aseltine School, based in San Diego, California, was founded in 1968 to educate and transform the lives of children who have learning disabilities and difficulties regulating their emotions and behavior. It serves K–12 students whose needs cannot be met in traditional academic settings, partnering with them to challenge and support both academic progress and personal growth as they become self-aware, confident, and responsible individuals prepared for school and life. Positioned within the philanthropic fundraising services sector, the school engages with the broader community to support its mission and programs.

Recent coverage in 2021 noted that Aseltine began planning a study-away program focused on race and punishment in the United States, including visits to the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery and related sites. The organization operates from San Diego and maintains a small to mid-sized workforce, reflecting its locally focused, specialized educational offering.
