For 22 years, Ashesi University in Ghana has fostered ethics, innovation, and entrepreneurship in a diverse community. The curriculum combines majors in business, computer science, MIS, and engineering with a liberal arts core and a four-year focus on leadership development. Ashesi’s 1,500+ students come from 34 countries. Nearly 50% of our students are women and almost half of the student body receive financial aid. Together, they develop a deep sense of civic responsibility and technical excellence in their fields and gain the vision necessary to navigate and lead in a changing world. On average, 94% of Ashesi graduates receive job offers within six months of starting their search. Our alumni are working in all sectors of the economy: growing local and international businesses, building and sustaining NGOs, and designing solutions to community problems. The Ashesi model is working, and Ashesi’s founder, Patrick Awuah, has received the WISE Prize for Education and was named a MacArthur Fellow in recognition of Ashesi’s impact and potential. Since its founding, Ashesi University has partnered with Ashesi University Foundation in Seattle, WA, to cultivate a global community of donors and advocates. Ashesi Foundation donors help fund the university’s growth, program development, and student scholarships.
