Ashland Leather Co. was created by two long-time tannery workers in Chicago, Dan Cordova and Phil Kalas. Both have worked in tanneries for a majority of their professional careers, and consequently they developed a great passion and love for leather. 

Using exclusively Horween leather, we at Ashland Leather Co. are dedicated to making a wallet that will live up to the time-honored Horween name. Our goal is to make you a wallet that will last forever, in terms of construction, quality, and style. We follow through on that promise by honoring a lifetime guarantee on all our products. If your wallet ever rips or if the stitching comes undone, we will fix it or replace it for free. It should last forever, and if it doesn't it's our job to fix it. 

Phil & Dan work at the Horween Leather tannery during the day, and in their off-hours they make wallets and other small leather goods with the help of leatherworker Laura Roselle. 

Ashland Leather utilizes only the finest leather sourced from Horween Leather Company, located in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. Designed with a focus on simplicity, the products let the leather quality show with a clean, minimalist look. 

With 20+ combined years of tannery experience, we spend our days making the best leather in the world and our nights and weekends crafting the best leathers into the finest quality leather goods. All products are made only in very limited runs in order to focus on the quality and longevity of the items.
