ASI/Silica Machinery, LLC was formed in 1997 with a mission to provide high quality and cost effective capital equipment and process technology to manufacturers of optical fiber and fused silica preforms. Our Vapor Axial Deposition (VAD) Core and Outside Vapor Deposition (OVD) core and cladding products are state of the art, based on proven equipment and technology that have been perfected by the key scientists and engineers of the company. They enable makers of optical fiber preforms to lower their cost of manufacturing when compared to other commercially available alternatives.

Today, ASI/Silica Machinery is the leading commercial provider of VAD and OVD deposition and Sintering process technology and products to the optical fiber manufacturer market. We have installed our products at leading optical fiber production sites throughout the world. ASI/Silica Machinery has an aggressive development program to develop next generation equipment to help its customers continually improve both their cost of manufacturing and their product quality.
