Asia Consultancy Group is a privately held international telecommunications services firm based in Herndon, Virginia. The company focuses on developing and supporting telecommunications infrastructure in Afghanistan, offering consultancy, microwave network augmentation and construction, cell tower co-location leasing, and cost-efficient value-added services to telecommunications and ISP providers, non-governmental organizations, government entities, and private sector clients. It holds a notable licensing position: as of June 2008, it was the first and, at that time, the only licensed telecommunications support company authorized by the Afghan Ministry of Communications to serve GSM service providers and other licensed operators in Afghanistan. With an eye toward regional expansion, the firm plans to extend its offerings to Central Asian markets as its infrastructural base grows from Afghanistan. The firm maintains a mid-sized workforce. In January 2021, Tejas Networks announced a multi-year contract with Asia Consultancy Group, signaling a formal partnership with a telecommunications equipment provider to support Afghanistan-focused infrastructure projects. The company operates as an independent private entity delivering telecommunications infrastructure, managed and engineering services across Afghanistan, reflecting its regional specialization and service scope.
