Assemble operates in the housing and community development sector, pursuing new housing investment models intended to improve access and outcomes for renters and homebuyers across Australia. Its purchase pathway, built around a five-year fixed rent-to-own arrangement, locks in both rent and purchase price for residents as they save toward ownership. The company has completed two projects under this pathway, at 38 Albermarle Street and 15 Thompson Street in Kensington, with additional developments currently under construction. It is certified as a B Corp, reflecting its alignment with social and environmental impact standards and its broader responsibility to people and places within its housing ecosystem.

Backed by AustralianSuper and HESTA, Assemble also develops social, affordable, Specialist Disability Accommodation and mid-market rental housing through a build-to-rent model to address diverse rental needs. The first project in this stream, 402 Macaulay Road in Kensington, is due for completion in 2025, illustrating ongoing expansion in Victoria.
