Associated Architects was founded in Birmingham in 1968. Since then, we’ve grown into a multi-award-winning vibrant practice with offices in Birmingham, Leeds and Oxford We continue to grow as a practice in all senses, building on the original values that brought us together, and which remain at the heart of all we do. Today, our work reaches across the UK and beyond, spanning both private and public sectors – from schools and universities, to commercial and residential, as well as large-scale urban regeneration schemes. Our projects have been rewarded with multiple accolades, including 33 RIBA Awards, 9 BCO Awards, and multiple Civic Trust, AJ Retrofit, SCONUL, and RICS Awards. We have a passion for designing contemporary buildings using sustainable methods, technology and materials. The Passivhaus approach to low energy building design, provides us with an industry benchmarked methodology. We enjoy the challenge of working with existing buildings as much as we do new build projects and our approach is always as pragmatic as it is imaginative. The practice is structured to give equal weight to both design and delivery, with a team of architects and technologists leading the organisation into the future.
