The Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH) is a Massachusetts-based advocacy organization focused on mental health and addiction services. For more than four decades, it has led statewide efforts to promote high-quality, community-based care and to shape policy, financing, clinical models, and quality assurance for individuals and families dealing with mental illness and substance-use disorders. ABH represents a network of more than eighty community-based providers delivering publicly funded behavioral health services across the Commonwealth and serving a substantial number of residents. Based in Framingham, Massachusetts, ABH works with funding, legislative, and regulatory agencies at state and national levels to represent its members' interests. Its mission centers on ensuring access to comprehensive, community-based care and on identifying emerging issues in behavioral health treatment. In 2022 ABH launched the Salute to Excellence awards to recognize professionals dedicated to serving people with mental health and substance use challenges.
