The Association For Digital Asset Markets (ADAM) works in partnership with leading financial firms and regulatory experts to devise a code of conduct for digital asset markets.  ADAM exists to foster fair and orderly digital asset markets where participants can transact with confidence. The development of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, digital commodities and digital securities, has the potential to revolutionize financial markets. ADAM works with leading financial firms, entrepreneurs, and regulators to develop industry best practices that facilitate safe, secure and efficient digital asset markets.

The first priority for ADAM is to create a code of conduct for participants in digital asset markets. Once ADAM’s code is adopted, mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance will be developed. Our goal is to publish a first working draft of the code in 2019.  ADAM’s code will address market integrity and ethics, risk management, KYC and AML, custody, record keeping, information sharing, clearing and settlement, market manipulation, surveillance, data protection, and research, among other topics. It will complement existing laws, rules, and regulations and the institutions charged with enforcing them.

ADAM is a broad-based industry group that seeks to include a wide variety of market participants, including trading platforms, custodians, investors, asset managers, traders, liquidity providers, and brokers.
