The Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc. (ABC) is a nonprofit organization in the wellness and fitness services sector, founded in 1974 and headquartered at 2400 North Street Northwest Suite 200, Washington, District of Columbia 20037, United States. It maintains an international membership of 2,500 health professionals, along with community health advocates, corporate members, and institutional members, and its staff numbers 11 to 50 employees. The organization’s mission is to promote the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, including stroke, among Blacks and other minorities, and to achieve health equity for all by eliminating disparities. ABC is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and pursues goals such as leadership development, raising awareness to reduce cardiovascular disease, and establishing sufficient endowment funding for programs. In 2024, the association launched a hypertension management certification and continues to engage in public and private partnerships and community initiatives to expand its programs and impact.
