The Association of Illinois Soil and Water Conservation Districts is a small nonprofit that coordinates Illinois’ soil and water conservation districts. It collaborates with agricultural and environmental stakeholders to protect the state’s fertile soils and water resources through strategic conservation initiatives. For decades, the organization has played a central role in safeguarding Illinois’ finite natural resources for future generations. Based in Springfield, Illinois, it serves local districts across the state and partners with schools and community groups to advance soil health and watershed planning. A 2026 development includes AISWCD entering a partnership with Charleston High School and the Coles County Soil & Water Conservation District to foster native-plant conservation projects.
