Astra Airlines is a mid-sized Greek carrier based in Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, operating from the Makedonia International Airport to provide both regular passenger services and charter flights. Founded in 2008, the company has demonstrated its commitment to European safety standards by earning the European Community Certificate for Air Operators under JAA/EASA rules. It maintains a formal quality-control framework across flight operations, maintenance and ground handling, supported by cockpit and cabin crews who receive ongoing recurrent training. Its charter offering includes aircraft with a seating capacity up to 112 passengers and access to a variety of Greek and European destinations, marketed to tour operators, travel agents, airlines and air brokers. In addition to scheduled services, Astra Airlines coordinates incentive flights, sporting events, trade fairs, music and cultural events, social programs, pilgrim and student travel. A recent development noted in its activities is the launch of seasonal Thessaloniki–Kefallonia services in 2019.
