ATE Systems is a small to mid-sized company in the appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing sector, based in Westford, Massachusetts. It has developed a calibration and error-correction methodology that eliminates the need for operator intervention in calibration workflows. The solution can include optional components such as a Noise Source and Power Meter, and it supports DC bias for on-wafer calibration.

The technology removes the need to attach calibration artifacts to instruments and enables automatic calibration at any time, with or without the device under test connected, and without hardware changes to switch between calibration and measurement. It reduces the skill level required of operators and allows the reference plane to be placed at any position along the measurement path. ATE Systems was founded by the team behind ATN Microwave, which developed eCal for Agilent and built the first four-port vector network analyzer.
