Founded in 1976, the Atlanta Chamber Players is a small ensemble based in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing together strings, winds and piano for intimate chamber music performances. The group has earned a national reputation as an innovator in the field and is respected by arts organizations in the Southeast, with a history of concerts across the United States, Europe and Mexico and reach to international audiences through live radio broadcasts. 
Its repertoire blends canonical masterworks with contemporary pieces and reflects a long-standing commitment to living American composers. The ensemble has premiered more than 125 works for Atlanta audiences, including world premieres commissioned from Michael Gandolfi, David Amram, Anne LeBaron, Adam Schoenberg, and two works by Pulitzer Prize–winning John Harbison. In January 2020, the organization launched the Wind Music project and released a related recording on Albany Records through Atlanta Chamber Winds.
