Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta Freedom Bands is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit artistic organization established in 1993. It serves the LGBTQ community through music, operating multiple ensembles including a marching band, a concert band, and the MetroGnomes stage band, with additional ad-hoc groups such as brass and woodwind ensembles. The organization performs across the metro area and Southeast at concerts, parades, neighborhood festivals, and benefit events, drawing musicians from the region and welcoming talent regardless of sexual orientation.
