Our Mission

Atlantic Impact is a leader in city-centered field trips and globally immersive travel for students. We design experiences that span neighborhood boundaries, deepen students’ networks, and spark educational curiosity. We believe that experiential learning is a transformative means of igniting a student’s academic, economic, and professional mobility.

What We Do

Atlantic Impact provides college and career readiness training to Detroit youth ages 16 - 24. To better serve and prepare our students our program is broken into two separate programs; Our Town (Career readiness) and Our World (College readiness).

Our Town increases postsecondary outcomes for high school students by providing career exposure and certifications opportunities in high-demand career fields. This program provides comprehensive workforce readiness through work-based exposure and career training programs.

Our World is an international college readiness program. We connect high school and college students for an immersive global travel experience each summer. During these trips, we pair Atlantic Impact youth with an Our World university student Fellow, creating a once in a lifetime learning and travel experience for each pair.
