The Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia is a private higher education institution based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with its main address at 51 Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Karet Kuningan, 10270. Founded on 1 June 1960, the university operates across three campuses: Semanggi in South Jakarta as the Center for Nation Development, Pluit Kampus in North Jakarta as the Center for Health Development housing the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and Atma Jaya Hospital, and the BSD campus in Tangerang as the Center for Human Development. It comprises eight faculties, including Economics and Business; Education and Language; Law; Psychology; Business Administration and Communication Studies; Engineering; Medicine; and Biotechnology, the latter being the first biotechnology faculty in Indonesia. The institution offers 20 undergraduate programs, 11 postgraduate programs, and four professional programs, and employs between 1,001 and 5,000 staff. The university has received recognitions including top private university status in the Jakarta area in 2018, QS rankings placing it among the top 400 universities in Asia, gold Indonesian National Standard accreditation for 2015–2018, and A accreditation in 2016, along with ministry grants and international partnerships with organizations such as UNHCR and ILO.
