Unika Atma Jaya is an award winning private university based in Jakarta. It ranked first as best private university in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang area and second best private university in Indonesia in 2018. It is among the 17 Indonesian universities in the top best 400 universities in Asia according to QS ranking. It is awarded Indonesian National Standard (SN)) in gold category for four consecutive year (2015-2018). It is a recipient of numerous grants from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. It's received an A accreditation in 2016 and is one of the 50 best promising universities in Indonesia. Founded on 1 June 1960, Unika Atma Jaya has 20 undergraduate study programs and 11 postgraduate study programs, and four professional program studies. It has 8 Faculties which are Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Education and Language, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Biotechnology. Its biotechnology faculty is the first in Indonesia. It has three campuses. The Semanggi campus in South Jakarta is set as the University's Center from Nation Development, developing relevant research and partnerning with business, government, and the public. The Pluit Kampus in North Jakarta is set as the Center for Health Development, housing the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and Atma Jaya Hospital. The BSD campus in Tangerang is set as the Center for Human Development.
