Atul Karkhanis Architects Ltd. is a full service Professional Corporation registered under the State of Illinois Corporate Act. Mr. Atul Karkhanis, who is a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois and in the State of Wisconsin, established the Firm. Mr. Karkhanis has been practicing as an Architect since 1983 and in 1990, he established this corporation. Currently Mr. Karkhanis is also a visiting Faculty member at Illinois Institute of Arts where he teaches Restaurant design and Lighting design.

Over the last several years the Firm has completed many big and small projects of various magnitude. Firm specializes in Restaurants, Light Commercial, Tenant build-outs, Office Interiors and Residential projects. At AKA Ltd. every project is given full attention and complete quality control regardless of its Size. Be it a large Commercial project or a small bathroom additions we do it with the same professional approach. Every project is completed in three stages:

1. Design Drawings, where different schemes are discussed with the Client by using various media such as Sketches, Perspectives and Models.

2. Working drawings are prepared for Construction and Bidding purposes.

3. Specifications are prepared to assure quality construction.

We take pride in assisting our clients from preliminary design stage to completion of the project. We also represent our clients on Zoning and Building Permits/Code related issues.

The firm is also pre-qualified to do business with the City of Chicago and State of Illinois on their building projects.
